Kimi Peck’s THE DOG ANGELS continues to ‘rake in the dough’

Even though Peck claimed over and over again to news reports and government officials that she was NOT operating a kennel in her ‘home/warehouse’ housing over 200 animals since 2006, according to tax returns filed by ‘volunteer’ accountant SUSAN MARLOWE, CPA, from 2006 through 2009, the Dog Angels aka Chihuahua Rescue made over $700,000.00 in donations. However, the last tax return filed by Susan Marlowe, CPA, in 2009, Dog Angels made close to $80,000.00…even though Peck claimed most of the over 200 dogs were ‘special needs’, Peck spent less than $300.00 on vet services. Peck spent the majority of the donated money for the animals on herself. The tax return also claimed ’25 dogs were adopted out’. Marlowe claimed the number was so low because Peck was moving to ‘another part of Los Angeles’. Los Angeles wants to know where in their county Peck is and has been operating a kennel since she was legally forced out in 2005… In other words, Peck has been operating illegally…

$2,000.00 REWARD!

In April of 2009, while operating an illegal kennel operation (Chihuahua Rescue aka Dog Angels) in Tehachapi, California, two accused animal hoarders, Kimi Peck and Kimberly Maggio, both with extensive histories in criminal courts in regards to animal related neglect, stole two puppies belonging to an unsuspecting Julie Feiner. Even though Ms. Peck already had between 250-350 animals in her ‘care’, and Ms. Maggio was hoarding approximately 100 animals in her ‘care’ (separate locations in Kern), this did not stop the accused animal hoarders from stealing Julie’s puppies. A judge awarded Ms. Feiner over 30,000.00 in damages stemming from this incident. Though Ms. Feiner does not believe she will ever see the money, she is not giving up trying to find the now two-year-old Chihuahuas. If you know where these puppies are, please step forward and do the right thing. Julie Feiner is a hard working editor in the movie business who is offering a $2,000.00 reward (yes, $2,0000.00) for the safe return of the Chi’s. Your name will be kept confidential meaning Ms. Peck and/or anybody associated with her will never know who alerted Ms. Feiner. Thank you and please pass this info around –

Kern County Denies Tia Torres’ Application for a CUP

Not suprised – Kern County is a Hoarder’s Haven and Tia is NOT a hoarder. Tia Torres has a perfect record in Los Angeles’ County regarding her licensed kennel in the 17-years she’s been in business. Always received ‘A’s’ on her inspections. Never had a dog loose. Never had any complaints from neighbors regarding barking dogs. This can all be confirmed.

Ms. Torres applied for a CUP to operate a legitimate operation in Tehachapi (something many well-known hoarders who have set-up hoarding ‘sanctuaries’ never bothered doing). Her application was denied. Tia – FILE AN APPEAL!

Did Animal Hoarder Kimi Peck Finally Open Up Kern County’s Eyes to Animal Hoarding?

Scrivner suggests county might consider limits on animals By: Carin Enovijas and Claudia Elliott Wednesday, March 9, 2011 – 12:50 Should Kern County have limits on the number of animals that may be kept on premises in unincorporated areas? The issue was given cursory consideration by county supervisors in 2009, after Animal Control became flooded with barking dog complaints and animal welfare concerns associated with the 200 dogs that were then housed in a Water Canyon home by controversial rescuer turned hoarder, Kimi Peck. More than a year later, approximately 150 animals were removed by Animal Control from Peck’s rented Bear Valley home after her long-time supporter and landlord, Susan Marlowe, evicted her from the same property once occupied by convicted animal abuser Cynthia Gudger. Kern County 2nd District Supervisor Zack Scrivner said he has had “informal discussions” with the planning director about efforts to establish animal limits within the county. “It’s something that the board as a whole needs to give direction to staff to analyze and to come back with a recommendation,” Scrivner said. Limits should be based on acreage, he said, “also taking into account what type of facilities are on that site.” Scrivner said it’s not a “one-size-fits-all” issue, as the diversity of Kern County’s urban and rural areas accommodate different zoning and land uses.

Charlotte Spadaro GUILTY OF ANIMAL ABUSE

A jury just found Charlotte Spadaro, former Mayor of Beverly Hills and self-proclaimed animal ‘rescuer’, guilty of animal cruelty. For years, many have accused Ms. Spadaro of being an animal hoarder of the WORST kind. She has allowed HUNDREDS of animals to live in horrific conditions. Animal Control officers have found dead animals in her freezer. She’s been accused of breeding cats and dogs. She’s associated herself with other animal abusers including Cynthia Gudger. She’s been charged in a number of counties with animal cruelty and has figured out ways to fight the system to her advantage. Of course, Ms. Spadaro does what all other hoarders do. She moves from county to county to county each time she’s charged with animal neglect. Finally, she lost a court case and the animals have won. Let’s hope the punishment fits the crime. Let’s hope she is stopped FOREVER. Ms. Spadaro should be banned from ever owning an animal again.

We have learned, not surprising, that Ms. Spadaro plans on appealing the conviction. Like many other animal hoarders, Ms. Spadaro feels that SHE is the victim and a conspiracy target.
